It is with a heavy heart to announce that CKC Opal Cliffs Preschool will be closing it's doors in August 2026.  The facility is owned by SUESD (Soquel Unified School District) and the building has been designated for a different use.

As always, our priority is to support our children, families, and staff through any big changes such as this.  We were able to ensure that our program stay open until the beginning of the school year in August, to allow our graduating preschoolers continued care through summer until they enter elementary school.  For our younger preschoolers, we will be offering a guaranteed transfer to our Santa Cruz Gardens Preschool site.  

Although this is unfortunate news for the Opal Cliffs community, it is also inevitable as children are entering TK at a younger age, our preschool programs have shrunk and our TK/K afterschool programs have grown.  

We are looking forward to CKC Santa Cruz Gardens Preschool, Alturas Infant & Toddler Center, and all of our Afterschool Programs growing and thriving in the coming school year!
