Hello! I am very excited to join the CKC DeLaveaga community this year! A little about me: My educational background has given me a strong foundation in child development, education, equity, and community-centered learning. I hold an associate degree in Social and Behavioral Science, an Associate Child Development Future Educator Certificate, and a Bachelor’s degree in Latin American and Latino Studies from UC Santa Cruz. I also hold a Child Development Teacher Permit and have experience working with children from infancy through middle school, including as a former Lead Instructor for an Expanded Learning Opportunities Program. My education and experience have shaped my child-centered approach, with a strong focus on social-emotional learning, belonging, and positive relationships. I believe children thrive when they feel safe, understood, and encouraged to be themselves. As a Capitola resident, avid bicyclist, and nature enthusiast, I love being part of this community and helping children stay curious, active, and connected to the world around them.”
