Welcome to Santa Cruz Gardens' After School Wonderland, a cozy retreat prioritizing creativity and productivity despite our smaller scale. Thoughtfully designed room provides individualized attention for every child, fostering imagination and productivity. Our intimate setting, free from overflow or influx, creates a nurturing environment. Step into uniquely adorned classrooms, where vibrant artwork adorns the walls. Outside, our expansive playground features a large yard and blacktop, offering space for exploration and play. Despite our smaller footprint, Santa Cruz Gardens' After School site is a haven of dynamic engagement, artistic expression, and a close-knit community valuing each child's unique journey.

Site Director - Elisa Lucera Bridges

Elisa Lucera Bridges, Site Director at Santa Cruz Gardens Elementary School CKC, brings over 35 years of experience in Early Childhood Education. With a strong foundation at Campus Kids Connection Inc. since 2012, she has held diverse roles, including Site Director at Valencia Elementary and Preschool Director at Santa Cruz Gardens.

Elisa holds an Associate Degree in Early Childhood Education from Cabrillo College and six specialized certifications, demonstrating her commitment to continuous professional development. Her expertise spans working with infants through elementary school children, both in preschool settings and as the owner-operator of a Family Child Care Home Preschool for a decade.

Known for fostering close relationships with families and empowering students with a positive outlook, Elisa excels in crafting engaging and meaningful curriculum. As a member of the California Early Childhood Workforce Registry, her professional development is meticulously tracked.

Beyond her professional life, Elisa's passion for dance and active pursuits shines through in her participation in adult dance classes. She enjoys walks, hikes, gardening, and quality time with family and friends, including her two adult children (Serena, 21, and Nico, 26). Whether gathered around a fire pit or enjoying the sun, Elisa also indulges in her love for music and reading.
